Lone (Lorna) is the Executive Manager, Partnerships, at State Library of Queensland. Her role involves brokering partnerships with corporate, academic and community organisations to support the Library’s strategic objectives.

Lone has a 25-year public service career in the Queensland government across the arts, child protection and education portfolios, working with public policy, strategy, legislation, performance measurement, evaluation and partnerships. She was awarded the Commissioner’s Award for Innovation by the Commissioner for Children and Young People in 2007, the Innovation and Creativity Award and Australia Day Achievement Medal for Services to Child Protection by the Minister for Child Safety in 2008 and 2009 respectively, and was highly commended for Excellence in Leadership by the Director-General of the Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts in 2014.

Lone has a keen interest in the role of creative entrepreneurs in shaping vibrant places and is passionate about making the world-class services and spaces of the State Library welcoming to all in the community. The opportunity to be involved with hub4101 is a welcome way to combine those interests in the South Brisbane area.

Lone holds bachelor degrees in both Human Informatics and Law and has a Master of Communications, awarded in her country of origin, Denmark.
