Hour of Code is a week-long celebration of computer science. Choose an hour in this week from December 3-9, choose one or more projects and get coding!

How do I participate?

The how to run your event guide can help you plan an event at your school, community or library. There are others for parents, teachers, volunteers and more. The promotion resources include stickers for participants. There is a certificates page and special certificates for students doing the Minecraft tutorial. On Facebook and Twitter, share your plans, announce your events, and post pictures using the hashtag #HourOfCode

The State Library of Queensland has many useful resources for getting started learning coding.

The campaign is supported by over 400 partners and 200,000 educators worldwide including Amazon, Google and Microsoft. There are tutorials that work on PCs, smartphones, tablets, and some that require no computer at all! You can join wherever you are, with whatever device you have.
